Favourite snack: can't go wrong with a Toasted Banana Bread with abitabutta (some butter). 

I grew up in Logan, Queensland, moved to the Gold Coast once I graduated from school, then at 17 dove headfirst into the unending universe that is coffee. Looking back on the nine years now of working in the coffee industry; I've had the pleasure of assisting a few cafes open and expand their operations, own and operate a coffee training business, collaborate and learn from industry leaders, roast coffee, host and attend all sorts of industry events and now I'm fortunate enough to join Steph, Flourish and the Flourish Team in their new chapter.

Niki Hills
Kitchen/ Bakery Assistant

I was born and raised in Revelstoke, BC, surrounded by family, friends, and community. After a few years away, I found my way back home, where I met my now husband. We married within a year, and 30 years later we’ve raised four incredible children, two of whom still call Revy home.

Food has always been a passion of mine. Whether feeding a growing family on a tight budget, filling the pantry and freezer, or hosting large family gatherings, food has been an integral part of my day-to-day life.

Two of my children have been GF and DF for most of their lives. This was new territory back in the day, and out of desperation to keep my kids healthy, I made it my mandate to heal them by discovering recipes to support them when it was not easy or affordable.

When I’m not in the kitchen, I love hiking, XC-skiing, camping, fishing, and crocheting.

I'm from the Lake District in the UK. It's a bit like here, but on a much smaller scale, and instead of bears and coyotes, we have cows and sheep. Coming to Canada has always been a dream of mine, and it finally came true in 2023. I've loved exploring this beautiful country!

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible, running, cycling and hiking. When I'm not out and about, you'll find me baking or crocheting at home.

Favourite hot drink: Hot chocolate

Favourite baked good: Bread fresh out of the oven, or chocolate brownie (can you tell I like chocolate?!)

I’m from Adelaide, Australia, and moved to Revelstoke at the end of 2023. I needed a break from studying and was ready for a new adventure.

My hot beverage of choice depends on the day, but I usually start with coffee or a matcha latte, and end with a cup of licorice tea — often paired with a warm slice of banana bread for an instant mood boost.

In my downtime, I love reading and drawing. During winter, my days off usually start with rounding up friends for a snowboarding session, followed by a sauna. In summer, you’ll find me camping, hiking, running, paddle boarding, or playing tennis and disc golf.

Most Friday nights end at a pool table with a beer in hand.

Maegan Downey

Kia ora! I’m Maegan, originally from the mighty Waikato, New Zealand. I came to Canada nearly two years ago as a fresh grad and somehow got Revel-stuck... and honestly, I’m not mad about it.

I’m passionate about all things outdoors and movement — whether it’s CrossFit, pilates, trail running, or skiing, this place is the ultimate playground. You’ll also find me at Alchemy studio here in Revy, teaching classes and probably talking way too much.

My go-to café order is a flat white with an almond croissant. Call me basic, but you can’t go wrong. Or maybe a slice of banana bread... or an amandine... or Steph’s famous carrot cupcake. Dangerous place to work, I tell ya.

I’m super excited and grateful to be part of the Flourish Team — surrounded by amazing humans, good vibes, and the best coffee!

Hannah Carroll

Hi, I’m Hannah! I grew up in the UK, but since there’s not much snow there, I ended up in Revelstoke for the incredible mountain terrain. I’m a skier (though I’ve been enjoying snowboarding this winter too), and in summer, I love to hike, camp, swim, and bike.

At Flourish, you’ll find me front of house, serving, and also spending time in the kitchen baking. As someone with coeliac disease, I’m thrilled to be part of a cafe and bakery in the Revelstoke community that serves only gluten-free food that tastes amazing and fills your cup!

My go-to at Flourish would be the apple crumble slice or carrot cake, paired with a cappuccino or chai latte.

Hey, I’m Laura, I’m one of the baristas here at Flourish. I originally came to Revelstoke from the UK for just one winter - like they all say. My favourite drink is a little flat white or an affogato in summer, and any kind of sweet treat to go with it!

Hey, I’m Christine. I am originally from Melbourne, Australia and have called Canada home for the last 12 years, and lived in Revelstoke for the past 4 years.

I am a server at Flourish Bakery and thrilled to be a part of this superstar team that will be delivering all the delicious treats and drinks to satisfy your soul. 

My favourite hot beverage is a piccolo, and my favorite fun drink is a Margarita! My baked good of choice is a chicken pot pie. My Interests include hiking, art, gardening, travelling, camping and skiing.

Hey! I’m Sheylee! I grew up in Kelowna and love all things outdoors, but these days I mainly climb, backpack and snowboard. At Flourish, you’ll find me behind the espresso machine making your favourite drinks! Not sure what to get? My go to is an oat flat white with a cinnamon bun!
